GFUN was the first wet coating provider in Taiwan, but now we host a full range of composite functional coating and laminating capabilities with several industry-leading technologies.
1999
Founded in 1999, GFUN is the first company in Taiwan with the technology for moisture permeable and waterproof microporous coating and laminating. Founder Chiu-Hsiung Tsai, was 32 years old when he set up GFUN with NT$18 million as joint capital along with the first shareholders, Kuo-Chin Chen and Min-Ming Lien. With only one production line and four employees, GFUN began its humble journey to the top of the functional fabric world.
2000
GFUN became the first company in Taiwan to develop waterproof and breathable microporous membrane laminating technology.
2002
GFUN became the first company in Taiwan with waterproof and breathable ceramic insulation printing technology.
2004
GFUN introduced moisture-responsive laminating technology for environmental protection and energy saving.
2005
GFUN was awarded the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, a non-toxic environmental label by Swiss company Testex.
GFUN received the Functional Textile Quality Certification from the Taiwan Textile Federation.
2007
GFUN developed functional print processing.
2009
GFUN expanded its dot laminating capacity with the addition of a second moisture-reactive laminating machine.
GFUN built an organic solvent recycling system with relevant equipment to make its manufacturing process more eco-friendly.
GFUN received the Swiss bluesign® certification for eco-friendly textile practices.
2010
GFUN becomes a Listed Company
2011
GFUN obtained its CFV Opinion Statement from the British Standards Institution (BSI).
GFUN established the GFUN garment brand.
GFUN was awarded the Certificate of Corporate Governance System Evaluation from the Taiwan Corporate Governance Association.
2013
GFUN was awarded the Taoyuan Enterprise Innovation Award.
GFUN unveiled the GFun Functional Textile Life Hall, which was certified as a Taoyuan City Industrial Cultural Venue.
2014
GFUN acquired two garment factories in Thailand to form Rain Mart Co. Ltd.

GFUN passed the VOCs recycling equipment investment proposal.
2016
GFUN started marketing a processed fabric with rain resistance, high air permeability, water repellency, and water resistance. The technology obtained utility patent no. M517682.

GFUN introduced a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system.
2020
GFUN officially became a designated supplier of isolation and protective clothing for the Ministry of Health and Welfare in Taiwan.
GFUN successfully developed a washable and reusable medical-grade protection fabric. Level 1-4.
GFUN established its medical product production line and applied for GMP/FDA/CE certification.
GFUN worked with the Taoyuan City Government to demonstrate high-end anti-epidemic products from Taiwan to diplomats from 27 countries.
GFUN obtained Higg Index FEM certification.
2022
GFUN became a 100%-owned subsidiary of SINGTEX® Group.
GFUN invested 900 million Taiwan dollars in a high-end precision dyeing and finishing factory (formerly GFUN Factory) at the Guanyin Industrial Park in Taoyuan City.
This investment allows for GFUN’s expertise in functional coating and lamination be combined with SINGTEX®’s advantages in fibers, yarns, functional fabrics, and garments.
GFUN and SINGTEX® will work together to reach full vertical integration of environmentally friendly functional textiles, by providing complete service platform from yarn, weaving, dyeing and finishing, coating, lamination to garments.
